Prologue

Women’s Cycling in the new millennium has catapulted to new heights.

Casual and amateur women cyclist is on the rise, and on the professional level, number of Women cyclists is growing by each year and till date 42 registered professional teams is listed with UCI.

Professional races for 2019 have been scheduled for 197 races throughout the world.

2019 marks the year for these professional cyclists to go the extra mile in order to secure their place in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Malaysia is one of four nations in ASEAN that has produced Women Cyclist at the world stage. Currently our Track Cyclist has participated in World Championships and major sporting events such as Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.

UCI in their Vision 2022 plans to establish more races and stimulate greater interest and participation of all stakeholders towards making Women Cycling a major event each year.

Cycling is not only for the professional but fast becoming a lifestyle. Living a healthy lifestyle is becoming a culture and cycling is a popular choice today compared to other sports i.e. golf, badminton, running etc.

ARYA LE TOUR DE FEMINA MALAYSIA aims to spearhead the revolution of women cycling in Malaysia specifically road race.
